A knob for an M8 clamping screw: the nut presses into the hex trap underneath and stays there. The trap is 13.2 mm across flats for a 13 mm spanner size, an interference fit - you tap the nut in, it does not drop in.
24 knurls around the rim: coarse enough to turn with wet hands or gloves, fine enough not to bite when you really tighten it.
A separate test washer with the same trap sits next to the knob in the file. Print that first and check the nut fit before committing to the whole knob. Saves an hour.
