Which file to download

STL is for printing: every slicer reads it. OBJ is for editing: the same triangles, but as text and with object groups preserved.

The model does not fit my bed

Dimensions are in the Model panel on each page, in millimetres, as X x Y x Z. Most things here scale cleanly, but remember that threads, fastener holes and bearing seats stop matching standard hardware once you scale them.

It prints badly

• Check you used the settings from the model page rather than your default profile.
• Supports: where the page says none, none are needed - the overhangs are designed for it.
• Fastener holes come out slightly undersize on every printer. That is normal; ream them.
• If a part splits along the layers, add perimeters rather than infill.

The viewer does not start

The viewer uses WebGL. If your browser does not support it or it is turned off, the page simply shows the static render. Downloads are unaffected.

Found a problem with a model

Leave a comment on the model page - the authors read them and fix things. If nobody answers within a week, write to us.
